Destiny

One of the first poems I ever wrote, so bear that in mind when reading and commenting!

Destiny



As I lay here thinking, as if lost in a dream

My mind starts to question, just what might have been

If things had been different, If people could change

If the future is written, can we turn the page?

Could we skip to a chapter with good times ahead?

Or re-write those things which are best left unsaid.

Of one thing I am certain

The past is the past

Gone, not forgotten, just resting at last.

So live for the moment, what’s done has been done

Soon you’ll discover, that you are the one

If destiny’s calling, just look and you’ll see

That you can control it

For you are the key.
