One Moment

A poem about my first love

If I could relive one moment of my life
I would choose the day you spoke
Of a deep love you held for me
Then I would fix my mistake
And say of my feelings for you
I would be there forever
And never even think about breaking up
Because I would be a wiser person
And never say “no” three times
I would give you a hug of friendship
And a kiss of love

But since I don’t have that precious moment
I am forever grateful I have loved once
You were my first love
And be close to my heart
But I need to move on from my mistake
And pray I will never hurt another
In the same way I hurt you
Thank you for being a friend
And my reminder of all good things
