Beggar For Grace

This speaks of what can happen if we are too self assured.

When it all falls out.
And your feet have slipped.
Your hands have suddenly,
Lost their grip.

And you are starting to spiral.
Down that slippery slope.
You've lost your assurance,
And can no longer cope.

Just moments ago,
You felt secure.
So insistent there was nothing,
You couldn't endure.

But now you've lost your balance,
And you're flat on your face.
Stripped of all power
A beggar for grace.
