Prose about love influenence by Gertrude Stein |
Love Unveiled Love seems simple enough, often felt and received. Given to those whom we feel deserve it and in return, our benefits become enfolded. But, through linear intanglements, it becomes twisted and unsure. Where our whole being gives and gives, love is seldom returned with the same strength or passion. Usually lacking with no honor or guidance. No eagerness found and only disillusionment within ourselves. Wanting nothing more than to understand the complexity of love we keenly seek out to disect past wrongs and wonder why our love is forsaken and unreturned. Again, left with no remedy or discernment. Is it wrong of us to want everything given back in total yield? Are we being trivial to expect to be loved with reciprocity? Is it not enough to just know you are simply loved without all of the deeds unweilded? Love should be uncomplicated with no gimmicks or strings, just given without thoughts of return. In the act of giving love we feel joy and contentment of our gifts. Flowing over with emotions and bliss that fill us. Why do we have to overanalyze love and break it down into "who did what for whom?" Love should be....simple. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This prose is influenced by Gertrude Stein's "Tender Buttons [A Box]." I enjoyed how she took something so simple as a cigarette box and made is so much more. I like her flowing thoughts and her examination of the box. |
