About one of my favorite fall memories.
Can you remember the taste;
Red shiny apples collected
In soft-bottomed buckets.
Slowly teeth crunch,
Pleasing the palate.

Bright eyes glow.
Is anything better;
Taken from the tree
Eaten at lunch time.

October wind hints;
Fall is falling toward winter.

Apple picking and eating
Under a clear blue sky
Take my mind back.
Urkhardt's Orchards,
My dad and I picked our own
Nice ripe fruit for the family.
