| Repressed emotions are like a poison We administer to ourselves Bottled up inside We store it on our heart's shelves Smiling Shiny Polished (on the outside) Seething Bittre Scathing (in the core of our being) Every now & then, those shelves overturn Releasing vehement outbursts No control No floodgates Regret haunts & embarrasment keeps us from trying to mend the ties we broke So, once again we start the vicious cycle -Repression, Aggression- -Bitterness, Regret- -Hatred, Depression- Death. |
