I don’t like developers
He says I want a big empty house
And this house must have carpet in it, lots of carpet
I need a humungous kitchen
I need 14 bathrooms
My fireplace must be big

The developer stole my forest
He buzzed off all the trees
He left one tree standing and now everyone gets the view
Of Beautiful British Columbia
He settled in cement
Lots of cement, a double car garage, a double car driveway, a double car road
With lampposts

There is a little bush, and a little grass
The walls are cheap, light, wood
This house will probably last 40 years
I hate the developer
I think, he thinks this is a rich house
I think, he thinks from some suburb in America
I hate him
