Unrequited Love

It hurts to see you!

It hurts to see you!
It reminds me of the way I feel.
This heartache inside of me
That feeling that’s locked within.

I saw you tonight.
But imagine, you didn’t even know my name!
I tried to talk to you, but you interrupted me,
And you went to sit by two other ladies.
I felt so badly! It hurt so badly!
I felt like a total fool!
I should know that you didn’t want to talk to me!

God, help me to face the truth!
That there’s nothing there!
Help me to accept that fact
And carry on with my life!
