a poem I wrote that depicts that one true love I long to find |
| In my garden of Eden, I am consumed Intriguing scents of lofty lavender flood my mind, Old spiced roses intermingle with youthful ones; soft perfumes Make way for new meanings, asking me to reason and to find That one love that will be so kind. A man of staggering strength and my only desire He is loving, perceptive and ignites my tumultuous fire Poetic and worldly like no other He brings me to ecstasy as my only lover Someday, in dreams I perchance to meet This man whose heart is free of deceit He has given me so much, no words can say A tenderness and love I hold close to me on this day Here I ponder, love and cry In my garden of Eden, looking towards the sky The stars are shining, the moon is aglow And does this man even exist, does he even know? Of this, my rendering bliss The dreams I have of his eternal kiss. |
