A 55 word story of a boy who participated in a debate competition.



Seated in the front row, John stared at the rostrum. His heart pounded faster. An aura of fervid emotions surrounded him. A conspicuous silence reigned over the audience as the winner of the Debate Competition was going to be announced.


“Now the winner is...”, a voice echoed in the hall

His face reddened.

“John Abbey !”
