Winter is upon us
Snow on the ground
Beauty surrounds us
It’s all around

Why do people gripe?
Of cold winter days
Don’t they think God
Knows the right ways

I rejoice in the beauty
Of each season to come
And enjoy fully
The present one

Time is too short
To wish it away
And always hope
For another day

Be glad and happy
In the time that is now
As you get older
It gets easier some how

Time goes faster
With each coming year
As for me I’m just glad
To still be here

For the time will come
When my body gives out
And the lord will come
And then I will shout

But for now I’m just happy
To be living my life
If it’s cold or hot
No matter, no strife

Don’t complain
Or moan or gripe
Just be happy to be living
This wonderful life
