Hypocrisy

Short poem - behavior of my peers that makes me cringe.

Hypocrisy

I wanted to write a poem
Scribble down my recent thoughts
But something had enthralled my mind
Nearly encouraged me to stop

Today it seems we live in a world
Where we judge our peers based on a need
A need to seem superior
We strive to disagree

Well disagree I say!
And fight with those whom to you, are wrong
After all, you and I cannot be friends
For we sing a different song

All I ask is that if you continue
To chose hate over peace
Then let me not find that your ways of life
Have contradicted what you preach
