Honestly Bad

I'm not too good at poetry. And plus I was trying to make it bad. Came out decent I think

I never act the way I should
Just like the average guy
But I was getting pretty good
At just barely getting by

We have a lot in common
Like D&D, pirates, and bands
But now it comes to poetry
So I guess I'll try my hand

I had some trouble with lines
But I think it came out fine
So be sure to let me know
How these next few lines should go

I'm sure it shows I can barely rhyme
But it's really the best I can do
So let me know if I'm doing fine
And remember, I wrote it for you

I change the scheme at every verse
And some words only rhyme in part
But I'm told the important thing
Is that the words come from the heart

Of course, now it's plain to see
You're a better poet than me
But the effort I give is so sincere
I hope you appreciate it, dear

So, now I gotta know
When I look into your eyes
Are those feelings I see
Or just a careful disguise?

And with a poem as horrible as this
Please, tell me what I am to do?
Cause as bad as my rhyme, I need a kiss
Now I give the next move to you
