The Bands Were Closing

Poem based on My Personal Life

You were there
you understood
but you just don't seem to care
my fate had laid in your hands
and you just crushed it up from here
it seemed to choke me
as they clasped the metal bands
yet there you stand watching it go by
it got tighter and tighter
and soon I began to cry

The bands were closed
my eyes were closed
and yet it didn't help
it was smothering
yet somehow soothing

My mind began to numb
the pain soon followed
first it began at my throat
and that soon commenced to mellow

You stared and watched
and I soon started to hate
as my feeble attempts to escape had failed
I watched as walls encroatched

My vision grew dark around the edges
and then black took over completely
I could still hear his voice
screetching through my mind he screamed

I was in my personal trap
as the screaming got louder and louder
My arms began to tingle
the pain advanced in other places

My whole body ached now
what else could I do?
the whiteness all around came into my sight
the bruises seemed to fade
until the ones remaining were from the other night.
