Hurt

Simple but real

So disappointed
words could not describe
the pain she must have felt,
I could see it in her eyes.

He hurt her so badly,
he threw her to the ground
she shed a thousand tears
but still she kept him around.

Every night she would fear him,
every night she would cry
when he smacked her around
she wanted to die.

So that's what she did,
she tightened the noose.
As she drew her last breath
she was free from abuse.
