Could this be why I keep putting off writing?

So I began reading a book this morning that I'd brought to my bedroom, down from the bookshelf upstairs, with the intent to read a chapter a day. That was a couple of months ago. There was already a bookmark in it, the receipt from when I purchased it. The receipt contains the title, Courage to Write, and the date of purchase: 02/05/2002. Today's date is March 13, 2010. I have not written much at all since I bought the book. Does that mean I am a coward?
