Before your life changes. 1st place Round 139 of The Amazing 55 Word Story Contest
Heart pounding, every hope and dream is cresting in the next second. Weary years of trying and planning have led to this moment of truth. Both excitement and dread run thru my veins while the bitter agonizing disappointments of the past resurface. Glancing down, I smile with joy when I see the stick turn blue.
