A sonnet about a breakup, and fiery revenge. |
| Your hair gleams in the pale moon’s glow, I watch you breathing, even and slow, Defenceless, trapped in your reverie Aggravatingly blissful in your world without me. You told me we would last forever, That nothing would be able to sever Our unity, or consume the fire Of love, passion and fervent desire. You splintered my hopeful dreams of tomorrow But still, my love is unreserved, And it is so fitting that you should deserve Eternal affliction for my incessant sorrow. Your blasphemous lips shall be smothered Rest in torment, my dearly beloved. |
