Before I have to say goodbye.
Let it roll off your tongue like it used to,
Say it sweetly; my last good memory of you.
Whisper it in my ear
So only I can hear.
Let it bring back the butterflies that I haven't felt in so long.
Make me think that what I'm about to do is wrong.
Wrap your arms around my waist.
Kiss me hard so I can savor your taste.
Let me twist my fingers through your hair,
So soft and bright and fair.
Look deep into my eyes and find the right words to say.
But even if you find them I'll still walk away.
