Troubled Soul

A poem or something like one about the struggle with one's innerself.

My mind is dark and twisted
filled with turmoil
I am neither happy nor sad
I merely exist
One day blends into the next
I push on

I feel like I'm two people
fighting within myself
Which one is the real me
Who can tell
Light versus dark inside my mind
I choose light

It will be a tough fight
Can light win
Light cuts darkness like a knife
It will prevail
I must not nurture the darkness
Only the light
