rap and the blues...aren't they really the same?
Let me stir your soul like an old field holler...
Reach over with my finger and pop your collar!!!
Not about playing games, I'm about the fuckin' dollar...
Always on the move, I'm hustlin' 24 hours.

Everyday, somebody has to sing the blues,
Take chances at life whether you win or lose
And sometimes trouble may come in pairs of twos
Check your circuit box, you might have blown a fuse

There are perps and victims in this game of life
You either live by the sword or die by the knife
In a city without pity, filled with malice and strife
Some don't get back home to see the kids and wife!

Like an old locomotive powered by steam
Boilers overheating, bursting at the seams!
The fireman bails as the whistle screams,
Casey Jones holds the brakes as the engine careens!!!

So when the knot get tighter inside your belly
And your legs start shaking like they're made of jelly
Your skin gets chilled like cold cuts from the deli,
Better pause...check your draws...getting kind of smelly!!!
