Now I know you all know what it's like to have your heart broken.I just put it into words

The heart complicates, or it heals-
Scar tissue forming ridges over pulsating flesh
The skin-tauter-tighter
Over where the vulnerable beast of a heart
Used to be
And as that scar forms and leaves a perceptible dent
Over my soul
I know my heart can withstand you
