Faces under veneers
I can't see

Words of lies
blinding me

Overwhelming misery
smothering me

Among but apart
Struggling within

Chains of constraints
suffocating me

Scornful laughter
lacerating me

Searing scars
bleeding endlessly

Longing desperately
to break free

Tears frozen
heart's broken

Say a valediction,
flee.
