Description of my favorite Farmer's Market
| The long wait is over! Spring has sprung! It's Saturday morning, Euford's here I come! That's Euford's Farmer's Market just south of Pittsburg, Texas. I can hardly wait for the bright red tractor to come into view where it sits proudly in the middle of the pond after its rebirth as a fountain. Just past the pond stands the farmer's market.
We pull into the dirt drive, and once again I am reminded of what it is that draws people back here. Of course they have wonderful produce, homemade goods, and smiling faces to greet you, but it's something more than that. This place is reminiscent of days gone by when life was simple. Whether you are shopping for fresh produce, looking for a great place to picnic with your family, or just want to spend a little time visiting with others, this is the place.
As I walk through the maze of delightful sights and smells, I am reminded of my grandmother's kitchen, and my childhood days spent sitting on her counter while she made fig preserves. I can't help but smile as wonderful memories continue to flood my thoughts. I look over at the folks eating homemake ice-cream, and they are laughing and telling stories from way back when, and it warms my heart.
In these trying times, it is a true blessing to find a special place where families can relax, enjoy, and spend some quality time with each other. It's not just the delicious treats that make this place so special, it's the flavors of life found at Euford's that keep people coming back.
