this is a rough rough rough draft of a poem i will, more than likely, never complete
everyday, i step on snakes.
i cannot help it. they are everywhere.
they are with me while i sleep,
and when i drink coffee,
when i blow a fuse and when i cum.
they fall from my wallet-
they writhe and wriggle between my toes-
green and dumb-
and i step on them, cracking their skulls,
one by one.
they are of an ordinary kind,
dish sink snake,
notebook and book snake,
tea cup snake,
laundry snake, slinking out of pockets,
and the snakes of the eyes of a man
and the snakes of the eyes of a man
and the snakes of the eyes of a man.
