A poem that describes the love that an unknown man feels for a mysterious woman. |
| a glance from the corner of my eye makes me look again at the end of the narrow, stone footpath walked a woman of great elegance, yet humbleness, a woman of the heavens above, an angel here on earth. she glided past me, like she was flying with her wings, all i could do was look, my heart slammed in my chest, and my mind was gone she was all i was. she was all i ever needed in life. i knew that with her i would stay forever. i knew that i would never see her again. never smell her sweet aroma in the cool summer nights breeze. never brush my rough, worn in hands against her smooth, pale skin. never say her name like it was my only dream. never say what i feel to her. to her im nobody. i will forever stay on the side of that narrow, stone-paved backstreet, on the bench, sitting, as i was when i first saw her sweet face, because forever i will love her, and my heart belongs to her. |
