A metaphor to explain falling in love.
Earth is my blacktop
The whole world's a test
So far I've accomplished
Much, no less
Each time it comes around
That rope with pink handles
I skip
Over the rope I jump
Avoid the problem, guy, or temptation
I skip and move on
My work here is done

Since I am so good
(I hold the school record)
I never expected
A viewer like you
A knight in green shorts
Navy blue shirt upon golden abs
Struck by your smirk
    ---- Oh, that smirk ----
I make my mistake
And missed the jump rope
Catching my sneaker on the pink handled rope
I tripped and fell at your feet
Perhaps that is why
They call it
Falling in love
