what happens when you are at the end of the road, alone.
The sands of time wither away,
And the beauty seems to fade,
All the strings I was so fond of,
Slowly and steadily they break.

The ones that I loved once,
And strangers with friendly smiles,
All of them have sailed away,
Leaving me alone on this isle.

Their memory torments nights,
And scents anguish my days,
The ache of all that past,
Makes my weary eyes rain.

I rue and miss what are ashes,
Naive of the hands that care,
Those who live and surround me,
Steadily they fade away.

My heart is clogged with time,
And soul is soaring like gale,
I now wish a tether from heavens,
And linger for my breath to fail.
