Watching a child play
The Web

What goes through the mind of a little girl
as she plays in the grass by Great Grandpas house?

She romps, and she stomps and she jumps and she skips
She twirls and whirls and wiggles and giggles

she lies in the tall grass she stares up at the sky
And watches the shapes of the clouds going by
She catches a leaf as it falls from the tree
She gazes in awe and says "it's so pretty!".

She romps and she stomps and she giggles some more
She gets caught in a spider web by the edge of a door!

She runs to her daddy and yells, "take it off!"
and he dashes over to quickly remove
the fine little stringlets of web
And off she goes again

Romping and stomping and whirling and twirling
What goes through the mind of this little girl ?

as she plays in the grass
by Great Grandpas house?
