When you stand still while the world still moves on....

I stand still and lifeless
Not out of fear or option
But because Will has left
Happiness has abandoned
And Want no longer cares

I stand still and lifeless
The world becoming a blur
The wind of people rushing by kissing my cheek
Progress must push through and continue on
Life moving for everyone around me

I stand still and lifeless
My mind overflowing with melancholy
Absent emotion leaving painful numbness
Darkness engulfs me as my eyes begin to shut
Deaf to the lively world around me

I stand still and lifeless
Motionless and empty
Silent and exanimate
I am no more
