Memories

Random poem I wrote.

I might have not always been content,
But at least I learned some lessons.
I might have not always been positive,
But at least I am now.
I might have not always been thankful,
But I sure am now.
I might have not always been hard-working,
But my hard work paid off.
The road wasn’t always easy,
But at least now I have a story to tell.
Now all that’s left are the memories.
The memories I love.
Some are hard, some are sad,
But I can’t change the past.
My sweet memories,
The happy and cheerful ones,
They help me move along.
Thank you for the memories,
The good, bad and the ugly
I’ll remember them forever,
And ever, and ever…
