Shining Star

One bright shining star, mother watching down on me.

Tonight as I sat on a bench at the hospital,
As I looked up into the sky,
I saw one single beautiful, bright shining star.
As I sat there, and pondered to myself,
I took a deep breath and said,
"Could that be my mother watching over me?
It just had to be."

That single bright star just lit up the sky,
Oh what a beautiful sight to see;
To think that my mother was smiling down at me.
As I continued to watch in amazement;
That one single star shining so bright;
I thought to myself,
All must be well with the world tonight!
