My Safe Harbor

A poem about love; a gentle rain on a tranquil sea.

A sapphire ocean spills gently onto soft sand.
Are you my safe harbor to claim?
Golden sun rays stream over a ship's deck.
Sweet breezes whisper your name.

Devotion breathes easy and free
flowing across lovely skies.
You call to me from seas.
I sail to ride your waves.

Satin skies, a thousand luminous lights.
Whimsical pillows are fantasy to dream upon.
Our souls illuminate the nights.
Eternal love knows no end.

All the lights of Christmas,
unwrapping your body a hundred ways.
We fall in love each season,
years slip by with pleasure, joy and play.

All grow old and gray. Not you and I.
We refuse to simply fade away.
Two joined stars blaze across the sky.
Our Universe will be amazed.
