a poem about the curiosity of a boy to find how the earth came to be....... |
| ONLY ZEUS KNOWS "All are folklore and myth," they said "Only Zeus knows how the rainbow was born, He only knows how the mountains were made, the clouds, trees and even the sun" But Zeus the god was nowhere to be found I searched the nests, lairs and stony caves, I searched the springs, seas and its terrifying waves, But Zeus the god was nowhere to be found Then I befell a lad painting the wind "This is its legs, rear and hind" Then I befell a lad sketching the snow "On this path, the Mississippi will flow" "Come good fellow, hand me the hue That I may paint the colorless dew On this plains, the rains will fall On this meadows the fogs will call" I thought, lad of solitude, how odd! "Pacify your anxiety, I am Zeus the god, Here and there i beautify nature, Here and there i design the future" |
