Addicted

This poem was written for my English class. Inspired by the book "Go Ask Alice".

One strong and dangerous, luring her in,
Robbing her soul out and choking her thin.
He was the hunter and she was the prey,
Her life, caught in a loop, stuck on replay.
Her senses were flying, she was falling,
Into the hollows, with darkness, lurking.
She fell into the shadows, deep below,
Where no one could help her, they let her go.
Her past broken, her future goes missing,
He blinds her to the mistakes she's making.
The strong and dangerous thieved all she's got,
Forced her in becoming someone she's not.
Hopeless and lost, chained to her addiction,
Her heart cried out of sheer desperation.
