A poem I wrote for a friend who was there when I needed them the most just to listen:)
Judgment is the story of my life
I only feel comfortable hiding in plain sight
Most do not understand my intricate mind
And no one takes the time to try
You were the ears that listened
And the heart that didn't judge
The piece of the puzzle I have been missing
It's the little things that mean so much
And to me you will not ever be unloved
In our minds we will now be forever free
And in our hearts only we will hold the key
The key to being ourselves without being scared
And I am here for you even when life doesn't seem fair
Our friendship will continue growing and last til the day's end
It's our newly found treasure from such a deep descent
Thank you tiny listener of mine
I now know our paths were meant to intertwine
It does not matter the time it takes to recognize a friend
It only matters the times you realize with them
You no longer have to pretend.
