The Soldier

The thoughts of a soldier

I suppose it's doing my part,
Saving a country thats not mine.
Fighting someone else's battle,
Being ordered accross that line.

I know it's different there,
I don't expect the same.
But if I make it back,
I expect more than just a name.

And if I don't come back,
I wonder what will happen then.
Will I become a hero,
Or just be known as one of them.
