Whispers from my muse.
Mage of Old

"Magic is a magic does...,"
said the Mage of Old.
"Sun comes up, moon goes down."
so the Story’s told.

Cycle like the seasons.
Ends of self same thread.
Join an everlasting loop
Of all that's done and said

Onto the darkness, sunshine.
From the Winter, melt.
The same 'o cards are gathered
Shuffeled up and dealt

For every pain a pleasure.
For every tear a smile,
and boldly go the hopeful
To walk another mile.

In homage to a heartbeat
that ticks away the hour,
Sings the bud that blossoms
And blooms into a flower.

"And so it is and so it was
and so forever be...
Tomorrow’s child will walk the wild,"
said the Mage to me.
