Similes
1. His head was as hot as a boiled onion.
2. The flames made his skin cracked and crackled like pop corn on a hob.
3. The water tumbled them over and over like cotton socks on a cycle.
4. The lights starkly blinded their vision and stunned them like rats in a trap.
5. Deep inside the cave was as cold as ice on a hot summers day.

Metaphors
1. He is a pig when he eats.
2. She was the apple of my eye.
3. You shower me with your love.
4. Her cry's were as music to his ears.
5. He is the sunshine of my life.
