A story of pain and hurt

pain is in her head

it is there when shes goes to bed

it is there when she wakes for the day

pain is always there

it will subside or so they say



the doctors say its a malformation

but give very little information

the only correction is surgery

but it has to get worse they say

before they can attempt it

but for her the facts are blurry



the only way to detect it is through MRI

go in, lie down, have your head x-rayed,

but to her, its just another day



should she risk the surgery?

possibly end up in a wheel chair?

possibly never help her kids climb the stairs?

possibly never pick up her kids again?



she chooses to stay in pain

pain she chose to live with

so she can play with her kids she loves

pain is always there

day to day

she just chooses to live with it
