What is a fairytale?
Looking back on life's history
I couldn't find any dragons
I couldn't recall a time when my life was in danger
I couldn't describe the feeling of pixie dust
I couldn't remember singing with a squirrel
And I couldn't say that I've met Mr. Perfect
Yet, my life is one that could be found in the books
So then what is a fairytale?
Any story with a happy ending.
I may not have a royal ancestry
I may not be drop dead gorgeous
I may not have Prince Charming wrapped around my finger
But I'm happy.
And even though my story isn't over
I still end each day
each hour
each second
with a sense of joy
as I wake each morning smiling at the world
What is a fairytale?
The pleasure of life is a fairytale
Because we all have those moments that end happily
And those moments are the moments when we are living
Living like a princess
