A fun poem giving a brief look at paths in a star's life. Shakespearean sonnet.
Gravitation, heat, protostar compressed.
Elements collide, fusion marks star life.
Main sequence attained till iron possessed.
Supernova explodes, star's core in strife.
One result is dense neutron collections.
Magnetar, and pulsar are two known yields,
Or those free from radio detection,
Have been found in the celestial fields.
The core, if big enough, collapses down.
Is said to distort even time and space.
It wears an accretion disk as its crown.
And jets of energy beam from its face.
A star to make matter, black hole to rend.
It is creation and also its end.
