Poor old lady with too many cats. poem/children's short story. Tell me what you think.
Mrs. Trundle's Cats
Poor Mrs. Trundle she had too many cats.
They wondered up and down the streets.
At night they scared the bats.
One day as she was feeding them,
A neighbor down the lane,
Offered to take some home with him,
As it began to rain.
She agreed most eagerly.
The man seemed meek and kind.
Little did Mrs. Trundle know,
What fate the cats would find.
Her neighbor was a scientist.
The mad-like kind they say.
He enjoyed his crazy experiments.
That's how he liked to play.
Some say when it is windy,
And the day has turned to night,
You can see him in his yard,
flying a fuzzy grey-tailed kite.
