Descriptive poem of small-town life. |
| I'm from cut hay in fields out back, From horseback riding through the mountains. I'm from riding four-wheelers on hot summer days And cooling down in a shallow creek. I'm from leaping, dodging, and running, Up and down the soccer fields and basketball courts. I'm from rolling down grassy hills, With my little brother tagging along. I'm from books and movies and spooky things That linger within the world and mind. I'm from going to bed in the silent, starry night To wake up each morning fresh and new. |
