Love betrayed. Love gone awry

    Who were you?
I thought I knew you~
    your spirit, your soul
I believed your words.
  Accepted your promises

      Somehow~
I became accustomed
      to your charms.
I ignored your flaws.
      Inured, in some strange way
by my undying belief in you

    So, I lingered on~

I had faith in you.
    I believed in you   
I didn't see that selfish
    wrath in your cold,
empty lifeless soul.

      I gave you my heart~
 
My blinded eyes led me
      to an empty space
that barren place
      you call your soul.

My own mind and heart 
      betrayed me.
Just like you betrayed me
      with your thoughtless
selfish acts of betrayals

      Your deceitful, selfish
affection misled me.
      I believed in your illusion.
My heart was tattered, shattered
      like fine, crystal glass.

      Now~

I've finally come to this conclusion
      This time
I know who you really are
      You are one
I no longer desire

      And yet~

I feel sad and empty
    The illusion slowly faded
Something is gone
