Love is always a game
never quite a quest
It just leaves me with shame
and bitter-sweet regret

My heart yearns for attention
Yet it's always turned away
Leaving it in detention
With failure and dismay

If I could i'd change
in order to attract
But since I can't it's pain
That's stuck to me like a tack

Love is simply my captain
I obey till lost in the dark
And that's what happens
When you follow your heart
