Finding peace and magic in the simple things like fireflies. |
"Come the Sounds of Light" Being apart, the sounds of his silence hurt my ears. Falling into a black hole; a painful abyss of no noise, hearing only the quiet rain of my soul's resounding tears. Shining light above catches my breath. This shivering sight seduces the moment distracting all fears. Fireflies, gatekeepers of the night. Glances and trances, whispers of tiny lantern notes. These midnight fairies sway and swoon to music of the clouded moon. Like his voice, this collective candelabra, a nighttime symphony of light vibrates and trembles glee in my heart. With a bright song, I am set free. Out of this late night, come the sounds of light. Magic and peace; a promise I hold, and will keep. Into wee hours of morn and beyond, my heart no longer torn, blinded or deft. Gauzy, breezy curtain of fairy-like wings quickens my spirit. An ease comes within the mystique, and dreamy sleep. line count 35 |
