Important Stranger

This is a poem about the emotions i feel towards my dad who chooses to not be in my life.

I remember the day my mum sat me down
she told me you left
without looking back
It sticks clear in my mind
A bad memory i wait to forget
The tears in her eyes
reflects the anger in mine.


I remember the day i heard your voice
you explained your excuses
Never heard I'm sorry
It sitcks very clear in my mind
your not the dad i needed, wanted
The drone of your lies
stinging like needles in my heart


I remember the day i couldnt take anymore
I decided to leave
without looking back
Its sticks like glue in my mind
disappointment once again
The denial of ever thinking
I could have a dad in my life.
