In the Garden

A relationship doomed...Part one

In a shady patch of garden
'neath a willow tree,
a young girl sits in contemplation
dreaming of what cannot be.

A young man fills her vision,
his raven hair and chestnut eyes
bring a flutter to her heart
that she cannot disguise.

He begs her to come with him
on his journey through this life.
Her heart and soul are shattered
for she is anothers wife.
