The pain of rejection
heats in my veins,
making me wonder
what I did wrong.
What did I do to make you feel
that I didn't understand,
that I never loved you?
Just friends,
I wish we weren't.
Just friends,
you wish we'd stay.
Friends,
we aren't anymore.
The pain of rejection
won't go away.
